SoftLab is a research laboratory belonging to the Department of Information Engineering “Enzo Ferrari”, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy.

Research in SoftLab covers topics of Software Engineering, Data Analysis and Management with special attention to studying and prototyping advanced technologies and applications specifically conceived for small companies:

• Software applications for enterprise collaboration, including operation of networked organisations, integrated catalogues, and business document exchange.
• Software services for semantic interoperability and multilingualism.
• Software functions for business data analysis and management.
• Data and process mining software applications.
• Exploitation of open-source technologies and libraries for the promotion of innovative working models and fast development approaches.
